When Dr. Lisa Love first began LoveMovies! she could honestly say she liked some
movies and loved a few. That's because she preferred books over films. Though some
movies had impacted her, even in profound ways, like many people she watched movies
mainly for their entertainment value allowing them to provide a few hours of escape.
Though she still likes the entertainment value of a movie, when she discovered the
LoveMovies! Way of Watching a movie, everything changed as she learned how to get
more out of movies, to get more out of life.
Suddenly, every movie (when viewed in a conscious way) became an opportunity to
learn more about love because they either celebrated the presence of love, or revealed
the lack of it (and therefore the need for it). And, when she combined movies with books
and other resources, the psychological and spiritual lessons of movies became totally
apparent, often in the most surprising ways. No longer watching movies in a passive
way, she discovered how to become an active participant while viewing. Thus, was born
the LoveMovies! Way of Watching films.
